Master of light

Poul Henningsen, the Danish designer and lighting innovator, is celebrated as a legend in his field, with a legacy that transcends time. Born in Copenhagen in 1894, Henningsen transformed lighting design through his visionary collaboration with Louis Poulsen, beginning in 1924.

His revolutionary three-shade system, introduced in the 1920s, artfully balances light and shadow to minimize glare, enhancing spaces with elegance and functional lighting.

The PH Artichoke

One of Poul Henningsen's most renowned creations is the pendant named PH Artichoke. It was designed in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen. This luxurious masterpiece, with its intricate layers, provides glare-free illumination and a soft light.

Today, it stands as a symbol of luxury and timeless elegance, meticulously crafted by hand at Louis Poulsen in Denmark.

The PH Artichoke has been enhanced with modern LED technology, preserving its classic aesthetic while meeting today's essential needs for energy-efficient lighting.
