Copper
Copper is a precious metal, with a bright, metallic orange hue. Over time, this hue patinates and oxidises with a green verdigris surface. If the surface of the copper has been lacquered, this patination is not to be expected. At Louis Poulsen, we produce lamps with a raw copper surface, and some lacquered copper products, which require slightly different care.

Copper
The beauty of copper is that it will patinate over time bringing individual character to the lamp, however if you want to keep your copper lamp looking new, we recommend that you wear gloves and polish it with an appropriate product for copper care.
Lacquered Copper
To keep the lacquered copper components of your lamp looking their best, we recommend that you regularly polish them with a damp microfibre cloth.
