Steel
Steel is a precious metal, that has a metallic grey colour and is very hard wearing. As with other precious metals, it will patinate over time, giving each lamp its own unique character. Many Louis Poulsen lamps have steel elements, which are treated with an oil coating, so we recommend that you wear fabric gloves when handling the lamp.
Care instruction
Caring for the steel elements on your lamp, is simple. Ensure that you use a soft, microfibre cloth for general day-to-day cleaning. Additionally, you can polish the surface using a material-specific product to keep it looking it’s best. When handling steel elements we recommend that you wear fabric gloves.
