Street lights should be beautiful when the power is on, and visually beautiful when the power is off, which is at the heart of the LP Express design. Thus, the post top of the residential and road LP Experi exudes its presence to passers-by 24 hours a day. During the day, the LP Experi's open, geometric design allows you to filter intense sunlight while observing the ever-changing sky through the lip of the luminaire. When darkness falls, the LP Express emits light with a blend of modern design elements, materials and technology.
Incorporating a sophisticated design concept for residential and road lighting, the top-fixed LP Express is energy-efficient, geometric and organic. If you look at it from a distance, you can distinguish the top of the lighting fixture. If you get closer, you'll see the lower part of the lip, which acts as a reflector to relax the eyes, while also shining direct light on the underside of the lip with a centrally located LED.
The LP Express is an aluminum light fixture that consists of a single element and is easy to install. Designed with asymmetrical and symmetrical light profiles, it can be optimized for the geometry of various roads to meet local requirements.
Coming in September 2018.
About Christian Flindt
Christian Flindt (1972)He has worked with Louis Poulsen since 2006 and developed the Flint 220 Floor Lamp, the Flint 220 Pendant, the Flint 475 Pendant, the Flint Bollard and the LP Grand Family.
Flindt graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2002 with an MAA and MDD degree and opened his own design studio in 2003. This results in products that inspire people to connect anew. Flindt's fresh and bold design of existing architecture demonstrates his innovative approach and courage to experiment. For example, his works using LED design have repeatedly demonstrated his ability to link discrete disciplines such as lighting design and furniture design.
Flindt has held exhibitions and participated in trade shows all over the world. He has won numerous design awards, including the Bolig Magasinet Design Award for his many flint designs for Louis Poulsen and the 2014 ELFORSK Prize from the Danish Ministry of Energy and Electricity for his flint bollards.
