About this product

AJ Discus was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1956 for Rødovre Town Hall. Two sizes were produced for this project: Ø350 and Ø450. They were used indoors on stairways and outdoors as wall lamps. A Ø220 version was later designed for St. Catherines College in England. Arne Jacobsen preferred the largest model when specifying his own projects. Today, AJ Discus is used worldwide and in a variety of architectural contexts.
